Gemma Power – CPV Towantic Energy Center

Scope: The Towantic Energy Center is a new 785 MW combined-cycle electric generating facility in Woodruff Hill Industrial Park in Oxford, Connecticut.

AZCO’s scope included installation of all critical piping including low pressure steam piping, high pressure steam piping, cold reheat piping, hot reheat piping, and condensate piping.

The CPV Towantic facility is a 2×1 combined-cycle project composed of two General Electric 7HA.01 combustion turbine generators, two heat recovery steam generators and one steam turbine generator. The primary fuel will be clean natural gas, however, the plant will be capable of operation on ultra-low sulfur distillate fuel oil.
