Scope: The Denton Energy Center features twelve (12)
18-cylinder Wartsila 18V50SG engines in a new power facility.
AZCO’s scope included installation of all above ground piping, installation of all radiators including erection of radiator support steel, setting of SCRs, all ductwork and stacks including support steel, installation of all engine platforms, grouting of column bases, and setting of all BOP equipment.
The plant provides balancing power to the community, which is moving towards a green, low emissions power system, aiming to have 70% of its energy produced from renewables by early 2019 as part of the Renewable Denton plan.
