Project: Limestone Handling System
Scope: AZCO’s scope of work included the construction of the limestone handling system, designed to accept limestone from barges and convey the material to transfer houses at 750 TPH. From the transfer house, the limestone is conveyed to a 40,000 ton limestone storage pile. Limestone is reclaimed from the storage pile with vibratory feeders and a conveyor to a transfer house and then silos for limestone storage.
AZCO installed the gypsum handling system. This system accepts gypsum from the vacuum filters and conveys it to a stockpile or transfer house at 200 TPH. From the transfer house the gypsum travels by conveyor to three additional transfer stations ending up in a gypsum storage barn. A portal scraper reclaimer moves gypsum from the barn to a conveyor which takes it to a barge unloading/loading dock.
AZCO also installed 22 conveyors and constructed 11 transfer houses.
